Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's in the 60s and sunny where I'm at, and I do believe I can see some green sprouting up in my yard. Maybe there's a four-leaf clover or two in there somewhere. :) Hope everyone's having a warm day full of rainbows, pots o' gold, green beer or cocktails, and corned beef and cabbage with taters.

Hot Covers Saturday

Yes, that's right, my Hot Covers feature isn't day-specific or tied to Mondays only like you thought (or rather, like I led you to believe---mwhahaha!). Instead, it's whatever day I see a hot cover and decide it's worth noting. *g*

So here's one that really grabbed my attention, the colors, the wolf, the paranormal ambiance, and yes, the chick. Sometimes all those shirtless guy-meat torsos can all start to look alike and become a yawn, imo, so it's refreshing to see a kick-ass, gorgeous heroine on the cover. Very nice, and I love the title. Anyone read this author? I haven't yet, but as you already know by now, I tend to check a book out more when a cover grabs me, so this one goes on my TBB list.

Ya know, I have mixed feelings on ebook piracy, but I don't usually (actually never) get into the online scuffles one way or the other on the subject. Some might think maybe I should, but sry, I just don't. :-/ Anyway, I really admire thriller author Joe Konrath and his stance on a lot of things in publishing including piracy, and while *occasionally* I don't agree with him, I really dig his style and his way of explaining things. (Um, I can be sorta blonde, so it's helpful.) Very cool dude. So go take a look at his blog at A Newbie's Guide To Publishing about "Booty Call"---some really interesting stuff. I found it cuz I'm a lurker there and subscribe to it on my Bloglines feeds thingy. :D

I just ran upon this book by Annette Blair, and yowza, what a great cover. Love the title, the paranormal mood in the background, and of course, the nummy handyman. From what I can see, this is the first in the Works Like Magic series. Haven't read this author yet, but I intend to pick this one up. Huh, I'm such a cover slut.

Hot Covers Monday - January 11, 2010 and a Contest

I gotta admit I'm one to judge a book by its cover, and I often buy certain books just for their hot or interesting cover art. Here's one that really caught my eye recently, A Date With Mr. Wonderful by Lynn LaFleur. I love his expression---total smoke, he only has eyes for her.
